Sheep Ireland Industry Meeting Wednesday April 18th

The industry meeting will focus in on the main research that has been done and currently underway in relation to Sheep breeding in Ireland, and the impact these changes will have on the national sheep breeding improvement program (i.e. €uroStars). There is a lot of new and exciting developments that will be coming into play in the very near future, and this is the event to get all the information your society requires, with some great speakers lined up to take any questions you may have.

Tea and coffee will be served at 10:30am and the industry meeting will begin at 10:45.

The meeting will take place on the Teagasc sheep research campus in Athenry, Co. Galway (see directions here).

As spaces will be limited and to make plans for catering, we will require anyone interested in attending to contact Sheep Ireland directly to reserve a place – to do so call 023 8820451 or email [email protected] .

Attendees of the Industry meeting will be given lunch at 2:00pm

Sheep Ireland Board

The next Sheep Ireland Board meeting is April 5th, we encourage any feedback in advance of this meeting. This can either be emailed to [email protected] or sent to your relevant board representative. You will find their details here.

Don’t miss the deadline!

The 30th of April is the deadline by which pedigree ram breeders must enter their flocks lambing data onto the Sheep Ireland database. Any lambs entered after this date will not receive genetic evaluations in 2018, but will be published in 2019. Regular reminders will be circulated to breeders over the next few weeks.
