Record your Carcass Data on Sheep Ireland’s New Factory Sales Screens

Factory Sales and Carcass data

Sheep Ireland have just launched a brand new screen for recording factory sales from your flock.  This newly developed screen will allow breeders to record batch movements of sheep sent to the factory. It allows carcass data such as dead weight, grade and fat to be recorded. The reason for slaughter must also be inputted. When logging  into their Sheep Ireland account, the factory sales screen is easy to find for breeders. As seen in the image factory sales can be found 4th down under the management tab.

Off Farm Sales

As well as the new factory sales screens, Sheep Ireland has also launched an off farm sales screen this week.  This screen allow breeders to record batch movements out of their flock. This screen gives the breeder an option to record whether they sold animals directly to another farmer or through the mart. The reason for sale must be inputted as well as the designator (if being sold to another LambPlus farmer) or the mart must be selected (if selling to the mart). As seen in the image above off farm sales can be found under the management tab.

The development of both the factory and off-farm sales screens are another step in the right direction for enhancing the LambPlus service and making the website more user friendly.   The more information recorded (eg. carcase data) via these screens will also help to contribute to the continual development and accuracy of the €urostar evaluations.
