Responsible Use of Antimicrobials on Sheep farms

An issue highlighted during Teagasc Virtual Sheep Week was the use of Antimicrobials on Sheep Farms. This document (below) is a “Code of Good Practice Regarding the Responsible Use of Antimicrobials on Sheep farms” and has been developed collaboratively between farming and veterinary stakeholders on the iNAP Animal Health Implementation Committee and aims to increase farmers awareness as to the growing threat of antimicrobial resistance (AMR) and the need to use antibiotics prudently on sheep farms and reduce usage wherever possible.
