Sheep Ireland Elite Multi-Breed Ram Sale

• All roads lead to Tullamore tomorrow for the Sheep Ireland Sale which kicks off at 12:30pm. Sheep Ireland Technicians will be there from 9:00am to inspect Sheep and all sheep will be penned by 12:00pm. With over 200 lots entered in the sale from 6 breeds, all of which are 5 star, there will be a ram there to suit everyone’s needs. Texel RamPlus

• The four Texel Rams that have been selected for the Texel RamPlus are listed below; if you click on their names it will take you to their evaluations on the Ram Search. Frozen Semen is now available from these rams at a subsidised rate of €5 per dose. For breeders that use this semen to inseminate their ewes the cost of AI will also be subsided by €5. By using semen from these rams it will help to increase the genetic linkage of the flocks, therefore leading to more stable evaluations in future. All the rams also have a very high €uro-Star rating so it will also help to increase the rate of genetic gain in the flocks.
