Charollais Flockbook

Sheep Ireland are delighted to announce that the Charollais society has chosen to use Sheep Ireland as their Flockbook Management system. This brings a total of 7 societies who now use Sheep Ireland to maintain their society FlockBooks and manage their day to day society tasks such as pedigree cert generation and sales catalogue generation. See the services available to these societies here. LambPlus Charollais breeders have until June 12th to submit their pedigree registrations online.

SusSheP – Sustainable Sheep Production

Sheep Ireland’s Eamon Wall and Thierry Pabiou were both in attendance at the SusShep meeting in SRUC in Scotland this week. Developing a ewe longevity trait, labour requirements on sheep farms and improving the rate of Cervical AI are the main focuses of the project. See full project details here.

Upcoming Events

National Sheep Breeders Association (NSBA) Championships

Takes place tomorrow Saturday June 9th, 2018, Cillin Hill Mart, County Kilkenny. Over 700 Sheep (covering 10 breeds) will be present on the day for the purpose-built ring in Cillian Hill Mart. Sheep Ireland personnel will be in attendance so please call in to see our latest developments!
