The very first Sheep Ireland Awards will take place as part of the ICBF and Sheep Ireland genetics conference on 5th & 6th December in The Hodson Bay Hotel, Athlone, Co. Roscommon. These awards are to reward LambPlus flocks that have made significant genetic gain and have done so as a result of considerable effort in intensely performance recording their flock.
There are two awards up for grabs are:
Most Improved LambPlus flock 2018: There are 5 nominees for this award with a €500 prize for the winner
Highest Achieving LambPlus Flock 2018: There are 3 nominees for this award with a €1000 prize for the winner
We will be publishing a profile of each of the nominees between now and the awards. Watch this space!!
The winners for each award will be announced on Wednesday 5th December at the Award Ceremony which takes kicks off at 19.30 pm.
