New Batch Movements Screens – Factory Sales

Sheep Ireland have been working hard in trying to improve usability of the Sheep Ireland website, introducing a series of batch movements screen as part of the new and improved updated website. One of the new batch movement screens is based on the factory sales of a flock.

After logging in, breeders should go to the management tab, click on factory sales. Select a factory in which the animals were sent for slaughter on the top left and on the top right a movement date must be selected (the date that the animals went to the factory). There is a choice to select only lambs, ewes and rams and the animal’s ID can be typed into the search bar. The carcase records (dead weight, grade and fat), which will be available on the dockets received from the factory, can be entered and the reasons for slaughter must be entered. The factory sales (health) data entered will be incorporated into the €urostar evaluations of the relatives of those animals slaughtered on the database and will increase their accuracies.

Take a look at the video below demonstrating how to record factory sales data.
