Sheep Ireland will be attending the National Sheep Breeders Association (NSBA) Red Mills Sheep Championships which takes place this Saturday 8th June 2019. Sheep Ireland proudly sponsors this event and look forward to meeting people on Saturday.

A new Interbreed ram lamb class at the NSBA Championships has been introduced. It was open to all LambPlus flocks that Muscle and Fat scanned in 2018/2019, with a DQI of greater than 70% on June 5^th. The ram must be 5 Stars on the Terminal or Replacement index. The prize fund for this class is €600, with €300 for first, followed by €200 for 2^nd and €100 for third.  The purpose of this class is to celebrate the Irish breeders and sheep that are helping to create a more profitable and sustainable industry by driving the rate of genetic gain in the right direction.
