This year, Sheep Ireland could be found at the Irish Farmers Journal Marquee at the 2019 National Ploughing Championships in Ballntrane, Fenagh, Co. Carlow. Sheep Ireland speakers, Eamon Wall and Kevin Mc Dermott were focusing on what is currently happening in the Sheep Industry and trying to get this message across to consumers. Eamon and Kevin briefed the crowd on who Sheep Ireland are and what we do. They explained the difference between 1 star and 5 star animals to consumers who may not have even heard of €urostar figures before. It was a great opportunity to educate consumers on what measures are taken place to increase the sustainability of sheep production within the Sheep Industry in Ireland.

There was a huge turn out at the National Ploughing Championships this year with an excess of 100,000 people attending the exhibition each day. The Sheep talks happened at 12pm daily with other organisations such as Teagasc  presenting also.
