What reports can be used to make better breeding decisions?

As part of the LambPlus programme, farmers are expected to record a variety of key events such as mating, pregnancy scanning, lambing information and weights. Genetic evaluations and management reports are generated using key performance information is entered and €urostar Index’s are then produced for all animals involved in the LambPlus programme. To view a detailed timeline of what is exactly involved and what you need to record as a member of LambPlus please click here. Once the hard work of recording the performance data is done, the data can be viewed in 10 useful and practical reports which are available under ‘Reports’ where members log into their account. These reports prove to be excellent tools in assisting breeders on making informed breeding management decisions.

Dr Alan Bohan discusses each of these useful reports in detail below.
