Every year, Sheep Ireland offers a unique opportunity for farmers and breeders to purchase some CPT proven genetics.
This Thursday, at the Teagasc National Sheep Conference, farmers and breeders will be able to view each of them before the final selection for sale.
Following the conference session (18th June 2026) at the Shearwater Hotel Ballinasloe, the event will move to the the farm of John Galvin, Coolfree, Taughmaconnell, Co. Roscommon (H53 R942), where these CPT rams will be shown together with their Eurostars evaluation.
All of their progeny have been genotyped and performance recorded, with replacements being retained within the CPT. Buyers can be confident in purchasing these high-star index rams as there is a large quantity of information and accuracy that make up their star ratings.

The sale is open to all sheep farmers and breeders to bid and will take place between the 7th and the 9th of July.
It will be an Online timed sale on Marteye and organised with Tullow Mart.
More information about each ram will be published soon.
