This is a unique opportunity for farmers and Breeders in particular to purchase proven genetics.
Over the past 2 years Sheep Ireland has been purchasing rams to use for Naturally Mating a proportion of the CPT ewes in each of the 4 flocks. These rams have all had 98 progeny or more that have all been intensively performance recorded on CPT flocks over the past one to two years and have maintained their high €uroStar rating.
This year Sheep Ireland is offering seven of these rams for sale through an online time auction in conjunction with Tullow Mart and Marteye. The sale will take place between the 12th – 14th July and is open to all sheep farmers to bid.
A viewing day is taking place on July 12th on the CPT flock of John Large, Gortnahoe, Co. Tipperary (E41VX77) as part of the Sheep Ireland Breeding Conference & Farm Walk. The event is free but registration is required. See HERE for more. The sale consists of:

- 3 Charollais
- 1 Lleyn
- 1 Suffolk
- 1 Texel
These are the rams that have tested and performed well in a commercial setting and are sure to improve the genetic potential of any flock in the seasons ahead.
