All breeders must  record the lambing information before April 30th.

For any animal to retrieve Eurostars this year, breeders are required by Sheep Ireland as well as the majority of breed societies to register lambs births before 30th April.

Any issues experienced prior to the deadline should be rectified before it is too late. Animals recorded after this date will not receive Eurostars until next year.

This is what you’ll see when you open your lambing report:

For ewes, it details lambing status, litter size, lambing difficulty scores, milk production, mothering ability, and lambing spread.

For lambs, it includes data on missing NSIS and sire information, birth rank percentages, rearing management, and birth weight averages.

It can be downloaded into an excel file, and saved on your own computer for printing. It is a very useful report that breeders should make use of when looking closely at particular lambing seasons as the year can be changed.
