Sheep Ireland have built a new screen which will allow breeder to request their national genotyping programme (NGP) or scrapie certs. These certs are required for export sales and exporting animals. If you are unsure whether you need these certificates we recommend contacting your relevant breed society.
*Please note, this screen sends the request for ngp/scrapie certs to DAFM, Sheep Ireland do NOT issue these certs*
For animals to be eligible for a scrapie cert they must be:
- Genotyped
- A scrapie type 1 / 2 / 3
- Fully parentage verified
Flocks must also have a herd number associated with their account.
How to order:

Once logged in select Management > Scrapie certs ordering

On this screen you will see a list of animals in your inventory, if the animal meets the criteria as outlined above you will see a select box appear.
You can filter this list by 3 other categories, eligible, requested and ineligible. You can not re-request any animals that have already been requested.

For any animals that appear as ineligible you will be able to hover the mouse over the black question mark to see why its not eligible.

After clicking checkout you will be brought to a page to review your requests, here you can make sure you have requested all animals needed. If all details are correct you can click proceed. If you want to add any lambs you can click on the back buttons on the right of the screen to go back to the ordering section.

You can then review the terms and conditions of requesting the scrapie cert.
Once the below screen appears, your order is confirmed.
