Save the date! Sheep Ireland will host the second Hill Multi-breed Ram sale on Friday, 10th of October 2025 at 7 pm (Manorhamilton Mart, Co. Leitrim), with viewing starting at 5.30 pm.

This will be a fantastic opportunity for Hill group breeders who have been making genetic progress in the Hill sector over the last years, and an ideal opportunity for Hill farmers to meet the requirements of the Sheep Improvement Scheme.

The +100 rams will be SIS-approved on the night.

This is a Multi-breed Hill sale, with all the main breeds in attendance, and having options for everyone. These breeds will highlight the excellent rams being produced by the Hill breeders in Ireland.

Entry criteria:

Breeders who are members of one of the listed Hill Breeding groups will have entries allowed only. How to submit the entries will be communicated soon.

Physical inspection:

All rams will need to pass a physical inspection to gain entry into the sale. During the physical examination rams will be assessed on their mouths, testicles, feet, and any other physical defects. This will give online bidders confidence the ram they are choosing is physically correct. Although the sales inspectors will inspect and reject any ram which in their opinion are unfit for sale, rams should be inspected by the purchaser.

Sheep Ireland and Manorhamilton Mart will not be liable for the health or fertility of any rams sold.
