Sheep Ireland at the Ploughing Championships 2018

Sheep Ireland will be taking part in the ploughing championships 2018 which is to commence on the 18th, 19th and 20th September in Screggan Tullamore Co. Offaly.

Similar to 2017, Sheep Ireland will be taking part in a demonstration in the Irish Farmers Journal (IFJ) livestock stand. This event provides a great opportunity for Sheep Ireland to promote pedigree ram breeders involved in the LambPlus programme as well as chatting with commercial breeders about what to look out for when purchasing rams. It will be an opportunity for all to come and have a chat with Kevin Mc Dermott and Eamon Wall, who will be at a nearby stand to answer any queries.

The main message Sheep Ireland will be delivering on the day is the positive results identified in trial work carried out by Sheep Ireland (Central Progeny Test) & Teagasc (INZAC flock). The differences established in 5 star vs 1 star sheep and top tips to think about when purchasing a ram will be among the topics discussed.
