UK Sheep Breeders Roundtable Conference
Today, Sheep Ireland personnel are attending the biennial Sheep Breeders Roundtable which takes place this weekend in Nottingham. The theme for this year is ‘thinking positively’. This event always proves to be very informative with representatives from several performance recording Countries across the world in attendance. As always genetic improvement will be at the forefront of discussion. Keep up to date with progress on our twitter account.
Upcoming Regional Meetings
Sheep Ireland would like to remind breeders and commercial sheep farmers interested in sheep breed improvement that our annual regional meetings are due to start this coming Tuesday 21st November. The meeting is open to anyone who wishes to attend.
Board meeting
If any breeder should have any specific issues they would like raised and discussed at board level, we would ask you to contact your relevant representative. It is very important that we are made aware of any topic/issues that breeders may have to resolve them as best we can. Our next board meeting is due to take place next Thursday 23rd and you can find a list of our current board members here.
Reminder LambPlus deadline is fast approaching
The deadline for the receipt of LambPlus sign up forms is two weeks from today December 1st. Due to new data protection rules that are due to come into effect in May 2018 it is necessary for Sheep Ireland to receive a signed LambPlus sign up form, from all breeders wishing to partake in the LambPlus program in 2018.
